Freestar Premium Alcohol Free Lager Can (0.0% ABV)
Freestar make beer thats bank-holiday-heatwave-grab-your-mates-and-hit-the-park delicious. The flavour is built around the classic principles of a premium continental lager: clean, crisp and next level refreshing. Freestar has a nose of light floral hops with a soft citrus top note with a dry, clean and hoppy bitter finish
Traditional alcohol free beers are made by stripping out alcohol from regular strength beer. Whether by boiling it off or filtering it out, the process can be destructive and also removes flavour. With Freestar they remove nothing so all the flavour stays in the beer. It's a pioneering process and it took them nearly two years to perfect the precise blend of natural ingredients.
How is this product Vegan Friendly?
The drink is free from any animal products or derivatives. In addition the bottle, label and glue is also free from animal products.
How is this low sugar and what about the carbs?
As defined by governmental guidelines ow sugar means the drink contains less than 2.5g of sugar per 100mls. Products with a higher sugar content cause a spike in insulin and we react by storing more carbs as fat. You may also notice that although lower in sugar there is some carbs, this is usually more complex forms of sugar such as starches and fibre and the body uses these for energy.
Alcohol Free Beers are made just like the alcoholic ones with water, yeast, hops and barley. Some are brewed to a lower ABV and some have the alcohol removed through various techniques. Across Europe beers below 0.5% ABV are classed as alcohol free. In the UK drinks that are between 0.05% and 0.5% ABV are classed as non-alcoholic.
