Ebony Vale Chardonnay is an alcohol free white wine which meets the growing demand world wide for low or no alcohol wines.

By using very gentle methods, the alcohol is reduced without affecting the quality or structure of the wine and the fruity character remains intact.

The grapes for this wine are harvested early so that sugar levels are not too high and hence potential alcohol is lower. The grapes are pressed gently and then fermented at temperatures of around 30°C for several days to ensure an excellent extraction of colour and soft tannins from the skins. The alcohol is gently removed from the wine by low pressure vacuum distillation. The flavours and aromas of the wine are not harmed as temperatures do not exceed 30°C.

Alcohol Free wines have just natural ingredients and but techniques to ensure it is alcohol free vary. This includes removing sugar pre fermentation to more sophisticated techniques of spinning the alcohol out through cones. Across Europe beers below 0.5% ABV are classed as alcohol free. In the UK drinks that are between 0.05% and 0.5% ABV are classed as non-alcoholic.  
How is this product Vegan Friendly?
The drink is free from any animal products or derivatives. In addition the bottle, label and glue is also free from animal products.
